Campbell qualified for her first-ever Olympic Games for Team USA with her runner-up performance at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials...was a member of the 2005 World Outdoor Championships team that traveled to Helsinki where she placed 9th in Group B in the qualifying rounds...She competed for the Lady Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina University from 2000-04, becoming a five-time NCAA All-American in the hammer and weight throw. She also won 16 individual Big South Conference titles during her collegiate career in the indoor weight throw and shot put, and outdoor shot put, hammer throw and discus…was named the Big South Women’s Track Athlete of the Year her last three years…enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2004 finishing third at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the weight throw with a new collegiate record mark of 22.24m/72-11.75, and finished in third-place at the 2004 NCAA Championships in the hammer throw. Campbell is in her second year as a volunteer assistant coach for throwers at Coastal Carolina after finishing her career as one of the most distinguished athletes of all-time.
