In their own words...
Running achievement I am most proud of: My USATF 100K masters title,
USATF Masters Ultrarunner of the Year award, being a member of the USATF ultra
teams and wearing the USATF uniform at world 100K championships, and my
Leadville Trail 100 accomplishments.
Why I run: Because I can and it intrigued me to see how deep I
could go within myself to reach an ultrarunning goal.
Future Goals: Learn how to gracefully manage my
retirement from competitive running.
Favorite quote: Ultrarunning is a sport where so many ordinary
people do extraordinary things and take them for granted. Eric Clifton
Additional comments/thoughts: I was pleased to have been able to
contribute to the development of ultrarunning within USATF during my 11-year
term on the Mountain/Ultra/Trail Running Council and its predecessors.
